What do you healthy people eat?!


Question: What do you healthy people eat!?
To the fitness buffs and health freaks out there (I look up to you all!)
What do you eat usually!? What's your favorite healthy meal!? Can I have the recipe to it!?

And what do your meals in a typical week look like!?

I follow a vegan diet, but I'm sure the meals I'll list can easily be modified to include lean sources of meat or even seafood if you prefer!.
I eat a lot of beans, legumes, fresh fruit, fresh veggies and whole grains (like quinoa and brown rice)!.
My favorite healthy meal is a baked sweet potato, collard greens and (homemade) brown rice pilaf!. It's super simple!.

In a typical week, I'll eat the following:
Breakfast: steel cut oats or oatmeal, cold cereal, a banana or a homemade blueberry muffin!.
Snack: raw cashews/almonds, hummus and pita bread, fresh fruit, baby carrots!.
Lunch: huge tossed salad, veggie sandwich, veggie soup, vegetable sushi or leftovers!. haha
Dinner: spaghetti with marinara sauce, veggie stir fry, mashed or baked sweet potatoes, quinoa, black bean and rice burritos/soft tacos, vegetable egg rolls, etc!.

As others have said, try to avoid processed foods as much as possible!. That crap will kill you - it's nutritionally bankrupt and with all the additives, it's extremely hard for our bodies to digest it!.

I just try to steer clear from the processed crap and make my own stuff!.

Even if i'm having a pizza, I enjoy making my own from scratch and adding some chicken and veg!.

The main stuff I tend to eat though is Pasta, Rice, Veg!. Stirfry!. (The student life)!. I think stuff like that is fine to eat as long as you're not snacking on crap throughout the day!.

If I get hungry I tend to eat a yogurt, fruit, pitta bread and houmous!.

also, for breakfast I would suggest eating either eggs or something with a lot of fibre like branflakes!. I really like have sultana bran or muesli and it keeps me going until lunch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Basically due to my Italian heritage, we eat mostly healthy homemade, not prepared foods; leans meats, fish, chicken, veggies and fruits!. We use a lot of evoo and herbs!. We do eat a limited amount of pasta and rice as well as cereals and cornmeal, too!. A Mediterranean diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Basically anything that comes in a box or can that you can eat immediately or within 5 minutes (by nuking it) STAY AWAY FROM THAT CRAP!.
