Question: Is the propane and isobutane in PAM (cooking spray) harmful!?
I don't get it!. It sais that there is propane is PAM cooking oil on the label!. Is it right in there!? Does it come out into the oil!? Wouldn't it like explode on the pan!? Is it harmful!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Propane is non-toxic, odourless an colourless in it's natural state!. An odourant is added to propane that we buy for heating and cooking so that you can smell it if there is a leak!.

Propane is used as a propellant in a lot of aerosol products we purchase!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pam is flammable if sprayed directly into an open flame!. The propane in the canister is not harmful but you are always better off using another method of greasing pans because of the other chemicals they use in Pam!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
