I ate food that should have been thrown away?!

Question: I ate food that should have been thrown away!?
Okay, laugh at me if you will, but I get paranoid really easy!!! We heated up chicken noodle soup a week ago last Monday which means almost 2 weeks ago!. It tasted good and didn't smell bad at all and there was nothing growing on it that I could tell!. It had some water added to it and has been in an air tight container since Monday Sept 29!. I only ate about 3 spoonfuls! I started thinking "When was it that we had chicken noodle soup!?"!. I asked my son and he confirmed it was as old as I was thinking!. Anyways, I'd like your opinion!. Should I worry about getting sick or should I chill out!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
If it started as condensed canned soup, it probably has so many preservatives in it that you're fine - since you kept it in a proper container in the fridge!.

I'm sure you're fine so just chill out (like you said)!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chill out! If it was soured or spoiled you would have tasted right off the bat!.!. and if it were in an airtight container and kept cold, I wouldn't eat it on purpose but I don't think it will do great harm!.!. Mostly you thinking about it now, you will be waiting to get sick or make yourself sick thinking your gonna get sick! I think you'll be fine!.!.!. Worse come to worse you will have the bathroom trots for a day!. We've all had that so no biggy!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Forget about it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Relax!.

If you do get sick, it will likely be 12-18 hours after you ate it!. Seeing as you asked the question 9 hours ago, you should start feeling sick really soon if it is going to affect you!.

Odds are good that nothing will happen though!. Especially if the soup was pre-fab!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

3 spoonfulls will not kill you, it may give you a tummy ache!.

That was pretty foolish, you always take a chance with leftover chicken!.

Don't go out tonight, or make sure you know where the throne room is!.
