Pure vanilla extract, which contains only alcohol and vanilla, contains no lactose!.
However, there are plenty of vanilla flavorings out there that may be based on dairy ingredients!. Coffee Mate ("Non-Dairy Creamer") contains no lactose, but does contain a milk protein ingredient!. So, those with true milk allergies or milk protein intolerance should be careful about the misleading "non-dairy" claim!.
Most coffee flavorings, such as Torani syrups, are simply sugar (or a similar sweetener like corn syrup) water with natural and/or artificial ingredients!. They contain no dairy and therefore no lactose!.
One additional word of warning: lactose is milk sugar!. As such, it is sometimes used as a sweetener!. For example, candy bars sometimes list lactose as an ingredient!. It's used instead of (or in addition to) cane sugar or corn syrup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

nope lactose is primarily a sugar in dairy products like milk and yogurt!. Vanilla is a bean and has no lactose in it!. lactose only comes from animal products!. Plants have fructose, and glucose and sucrose in them so you should be fine!. however if it is a vanilla creamer then you have a problem there because creamer is a dairy product!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Vanilla is a flavoring made from a root!. It is often added to dairy products for flavoring, such as ice cream!.
There are many non-dairy creamers available in flavors that include Vanilla!. Ironically, it's usually found in the dairy section of the supermarket, next to the milk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
