Is it acceptable to have no cherry on top of a Bakewell tart?!

Although come to think of it I have seen them with white icing and then brown icing kinda "feathered" on the top instead of cherries, but to me, no its nowhere near as good without the cherry! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
