Is instant brown rice healthy?!

Question: Is instant brown rice healthy!?
I won't eat white rice, because I know it is bleached, and it lacks fiber!.
I bought instant brown rice, because I don't want to wait 45 minutes for it to cook!. Is it still healthy!? Why or why not!?

Thanks!

Answers:
Both brown rice and white rice have fiber, just different amounts!. Yes brown rice is preferred, because it contains more fiber!. White rice is not bleached, once the covering [shell] is removed from a rice grain , the rice is naturally white!.

The reason why brown rice takes longer to cook is because the covering has not been removed [hence the brown color] White rice is the actual grain, with the covering [bran] removed!.

[Since the bran [covering] had not been removed from the brown rice, it adds more fiber!.]

[Hence brown rice having more fiber than white rice]

I'm not too sure about 'instant' being less healthy!. Since I know there is instant oatmeal and it's just as healthy as the one you cook!. But after all, the original is always more enjoyable!

Hope you enjoy your rice! :D

Brown rice is generally healthy!. Unlike white rice, the good stuff hasn't been removed!. I think the instant rice is just pre-cooked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
