Are month old homemade cookies okay to eat if they were stored in a gladware container?!

Question: Are month old homemade cookies okay to eat if they were stored in a gladware container!?
Answers:
Homemade cookies are meant to be consumed 72 hours after baking for optimal freshness and quality!. Days 4-7: They might taste a little stale but they won't make you sick!. After a week, you should not eat them!. If they were made with shortening or margerine they will last a little longer than a cookie made with fresh butter!. Even if they were stored in an airtight container, they are stale and the rancid butter will give an 'off' odor!. Next time, freeze them!. They will last you 3 months in the freezer!. So, sorry, you should toss all of them or eat at your own risk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I bake from scratch all the time!. Everything from cookies and donuts to fudge and popcorn balls!. You name it, I can make it!. To answer your question, toss them out!. Home made items have "no" preservatives in them!. They need to be eaten or tossed within a few days!. Home made donuts are only good the day they are made and ok the next day, after that, out they go!. If you want cookies that will last for 30 days, you need to buy store bought cookies or freeze home made cookies!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
