Sugar replacement in a cookie?!


Question: Sugar replacement in a cookie!?
um, can i replace the creamed butter and sugar in a sugar cookie recipe with cake frosting!?
will they still be okay!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

try to make a batch with your substitute and see what hapens its all trial and error!!!!

get a low fat butter and a sugar substitute like canderal!!

I don't think they would!. I think the icing would be too fatty and cause the cookies tokinda deflate and then fry up in the melted oil from the frosting!. That's what happened when I accidently doubled the butter amount in a shortbread recipe!.

It would also probably be too much or too little frosting!. That's didn't really make sense!. Umm, the amount of icing you might need to make the recipe work is probably not the same amount of butter and sugar you would need!.

But you never know!. That does sound good, sugar cookies with the icing mixed in! Try it out!. Make a half or quarter batch of the cookies with the icing, and see how they turn out!. Let me know!Www@FoodAQ@Com
