If you are tight on funds, you could season the muffin pan!. Wash in hot soapy water, then rinse in hot water!. Allow to dry!.Coat muffin tin with vegetable oil!. Put tin in a cold oven and turn the heat up to med-high!.When it comes to temp, turn off heat and allow pan to cool in oven!. When cool, wipe off excess oil!. In the future, you may want to "dry" your tin in a oven!.also use liners in the future!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't chance it, I would get the paper liners, you can bake in them, my wife uses them, no wash up either, they kinda look like little coffee filters, I'm not recommending this site, it's just to show you, Wal-mart, most places have them!.

They stay fresh or soft a little longer too with the paper around them!.

Throw it out and get new or use paper muffin liners!. also if you do use the liners, sometimes when you peel them off the muffin after theyr'e cooked, they take some of the muffin with them so spray the liners with Pam first!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't eat the muffin!, I know what you mean about rusty muffin tins, so get another one or use those little cup cake papers!. Sometimes you have to improvise or buy new!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i should just throw it out!.!. i mean muffin trays are not expensive and they now come in silicon i think it is which is pretty easy to clean!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
