Is there a way to make myself withstand hotter foods?!
I would to know because my whole family is Mexican, and they tend to eat lots of spicy foods, is there a way to tolerate it better(if that makes any sense)!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
-Eat foods with a spice level you can tolerate, and gradually introduce yourself to hotter foods to build up tolerance
-If you are eating extremely spicy food, drinking milk helps numb the spicyness!. Contrary to popular belief, drinking water does not do this!. All it does is spread around the spice so it only makes it worse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do what I did!. I'm also Mexican like you and I understand you!. Basically, start at level 1 or what you and your family consider level 1!. You will most definetely like the spices!. Then keep moving up the ladder and your taste buds will become most accustomed to different types of spicy food!. I hope this works! I did for me!.

don't drink water it won't make it better!. the milk and bread is your best bet!. when we make something too spicy for our children to eat we add milk or cheese to it and it calms it down enough for them to eat!. and yes you will get a taste for hotter foods once you start eating them more often!. you could also ask whom ever is cooking to lighten up on the spice, they could add more spice once the food is on their plate!. good luck with the spiceWww@FoodAQ@Com
tolerate it how!? If it's your taste buds a slow increae in the amount of spice and heat works!. If the heat spices bother your stomach, you may never be able to handle an incress!. Milk will help to coat your stomach and also put out some of the heat!. Thats why a lot of people have blue cheese or ranch salad dressing and celery along with hot wings the milk in the dressing ease the heat!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Many times this is just a tolerance thing!. You can build it up, but it may take some time!.
With mexican foods, beer can help take out alot of the heat of Jalapenos but make Habeneros hotter!. If you can't drink beer, tortillas can help!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
