We were given 30 lbs of coffee beans and as thank you gift!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
First of all, don't grind them all at once!. The beans keep better when they're left whole!. Put them in an airtight container and store them in a cool, dark place (not the fridge)!. Just grind a bit when you need it!. also, 30 lbs is an awful lot of coffee beans!. Ideally, you want to use up your beans within a few weeks, so unless you go through several pots a day, you may want to consider sharing that wealth with your friends!.

How much to grind them depends on what you're using them for!. If you have a French press, then you want a fairly coarse grind (gritty bits), but for your average drip coffee maker, a fine grind is more suitable!. If you've ever bought any pre-ground coffee before, you'll know what it should approximately look like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They should be the consistency of sawdust!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
