I have owned some of the most expensive coffeemakers there is - Braun, Cuisinart, some thermal carafe one, etc!.!. I have had to replace them all at some point!. Finally I wised up and bought a cheapie at Walmart!. The cheapest ones keep working forever!. Cost you about $10-15!.
Same goes for toasters and toaster ovens! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Look at the Cuisinart models!. Get one that brews directly into a thermal carafe, which keeps the coffee warm for many hours (so it isn't sitting on a burner)!. Most of the Cuisinarts also have a "gold filter", which is just washed and reused, so you don't buy paper ones!. And, of course, they have programmable timers!. They make EXCELLENT coffee and are well worth paying a little more for!. Do NOT buy a cheap Mr!. Coffee, or something similar!. The glass carafes don't hold the heat, and are structurally unsound (the handles can crack off); and they don't make good quality coffee!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
That all depends on what type of coffee you drink!.
If you drink espresso, try to go for an espresso maker from brands like Bodum, Bialetti, Capresso, La Pavoni, Breville, or Bellman!. They're made to deliver cafe-like taste and they come in automatic, pump driven, lever, or stove top models!. Choose one that fits your kitchen or one that you feel comfortable using!.
If you're a traditional coffee drinker, look for ones that fit your kitchen and that you feel offer what you need in convenience!. I'm a personal fan of pod coffee makers and the French Press for flavor!. Plus with pods, there's less coffee waste and you get more versatility in each cup!. Zaccardis!.com has a great selection of both varieties, and I've found that I prefer pods over a traditional pot of coffee!. In pods, I'd suggest Breville, Nemox, or Aquabrew by Cafejo!. In French Presses, I love my Bodum!.
Hope this helps!

I love my timer that I can set the night before!. Even the cheaper ones have the clock/timer these days!.
Make sure it takes filters that are easy to find!. If you go to exotic, it may be hard buy more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
