How do you open a tin of cured ham? (key thing on the bottom)?!

Question: How do you open a tin of cured ham!? (key thing on the bottom)!?
Its a tin of princes cured ham which I've never bought myself before, only problem is I'm not sure how to work this key thing which is attached to the bottom and there aren't any instructions on the tin!. Anyone have any ideas how it works!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
pop the key off, and look around the edge there should be a little metal strip going around with a little "tail"!. It can be printed with the can print!. Lift this "tail" slightly, put it into the slot on the key tip and turn the key along the edge to roll the strip up!. Good luck and take your time!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pull the "key" off the bottom of the tin and look for a tiny opening in the middle of it!. There's a corresponding piece of metal near where the key was attached which you insert into that opening!. Then just turn the key so that the metal bottom starts to wind around it and keep going until you can pull the bottom off the can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its very simple!. All you do is take the key off the bottom of the can!. If you look at the key, you will see that one end has a small hole in it!. Look at the can, and you should see a little tab around he center of the can, Take the key, and put the end with the hole over the tab on the can!. Twist the key towards the can!. After you twist a little bit you should began to see the meat!. Continue the whole way around the can!. Then pull the top off the can and remove the meat!.

Hope this helpedWww@FoodAQ@Com

Naw
I can't be bothered with that stuff

I just grab the pull tab with pliers an zip,, it is opened
No trying to keep the pull tab aligned on the key
You can get a serious cut from the strip or the canWww@FoodAQ@Com

It is safer to use a standard tin opener!. The key opening tins can be quite nasty if you cut yourself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
