75 days for chocolate to mature!. The plant produces heavy yields of 4" long by 3 ?" wide chocolate brown bell sweet peppers!. Peppers turn from green to chocolate brown when mature!. This is a high quality, heavy yielding variety!. Excellent for salads and stuffing!.
70 days for purple to mature!. The plant produces good yields of 3" long by 3" wide sweet purple bell peppers!. Peppers have thick walls and turn from green to purple when mature!. Excellent for salads, stuffing, and gourmet dishes!.

Peppers that are allowed to mature and ripen entirely, from green to yellow to red, etc!., are higher in vitamin content, especially vitamin A!. There is little difference in taste although there is a considerable difference in texture caused by the ripening process!.

Except for the color when ripened, yes!. They look the same and cook the same!. Be aware that the lovely purple and chocolate colors disappear when the peppers are cooked!. If you've grown them or bought them just for the color, use them raw in salads or as crudites!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
