Bread Machine Question!! Plz help.?!
I was given a bread machine by a friend for free, and it was only used once, but it did not com with any directions or anything, so I want to try out a white bread recipe, and my question is, how long does it generally take the loaf f bread to cook!? I tried to do my first batch, and it came unplugged right in the middle of it rising and baking, and I plugged it back in, and it started to "mix" or "knead" it all over again, so I am guessing that it is not going to come out right (HA) anyway thanks for your answers!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My machine is an Oster (Sunbeam), and the basic white bread recipe takes a full three hours from start to finish, including a 60 minute bake time!. There is a first kneading, then a 'rise', another kneading, another 'rise' followed by a 'punchdown for 30 seconds, then a final 'rising' before baking starts!. Your loaf might turn out ok, as long as the baking hadn't started yet!. It might get more kneading than normal, but you might have something edible!.!.!.as opposed to an adobe brick, which is what I get when I make bread by hand!.
I've never dealt with a power failure with mine, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the booklet about what goes on when one happens!. (Now I'm scared! LOL)
Depending on what machine you have, you might be able to contact the company online, and get a replacement booklet with instructions and recipes!. There should be a serial number or unit number on the machine someplace!.!.!.probably on the bottom or back!.

It generally takes about 3 hours!. I found that if you use very warm water and activate the yeast I had better fluffier bread!. (not to hot it will kill the yeast) PS my favorite recipe was with oats and honey Www@FoodAQ@Com
