Uncooked chicken left in fridge still good or have they gone bad?!

Question: Uncooked chicken left in fridge still good or have they gone bad!?

I defrosted a pack of frozen chicken wings on sunday evening!.

I opened it monday & took out 4!. I opened the front part of the package & covered the front part in foil & put back in fridge!.

Its now wednesday & i took out the rest, marinated it & put in the oven to bake!.

i didnt smell it so im not sure if it stinks!. It looked normal!. The only thing that looked diff was when i flipped the chicken over & look under the wing there was a spot of purple & pink on almost all the wing!.

Im not sure what that is!. is it the vein/blood!? its a circle spot!.

its in the oven on 375 right now!. should i toss them out!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
were they past the expiration date!? If not, so long as you cook them piping hot, you're probably ok!.

I can't tell quite what you mean by purple and pink spot, but if it was fuzzy you should definitely toss it!.

But in general, unless you are pregnant or immune compromised, most of the stuff that can grow in the climate of your fridge isn't going to kill you (or so says my friend the M!.D!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it was old you'd know it!. It smells SO strong! YUCK!Www@FoodAQ@Com

they are fineWww@FoodAQ@Com
