Question: How does date grew!? and how farmers pick them!?
some dates are juicy and have moist skin!. How they grew!? are they in a shell or skin!? how do farmers pick them!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

they grow from date palm trees
at the top of the tree, it shoots out little branch like things that the dates grow off of like huge clusters of grapes!.!.

it takes few weeks for the grapes to ripen!. then someone climbs up the tree with a rope and such!.!. and cuts those clusters down!.!.
the ripe date looks like a huge beige olive when first picked!.!. its not like what you see in stores where its blackish and sticky and dried!.!.
then you can eat them just off the tree in this state, or some farmers go on further and dry them!.!. its a different stage!.!. sort of like the grape is to the raisin!.!.!. majority of people in the middle east eat dried dates!.!.
