Is this bad for my pots/stove?!

Question: Is this bad for my pots/stove!?
when i make popcorn i put this orville redenbacher's popcorn oil in one of my aluminum pots that has been heated, pour in the popcorn kernals, and shake till its all popped! YUM!

but ever since i have been cooking this on our new stove (electric) its like the pot or the oven!.!.!. grinds alot more!.!.!. i cant really explain it but its like the shaking motion is wearing down the burner on the stove, it doesnt look bad, and neither does the pot, except for a few small scratches from use!.

could this turn into something worse, or is it something i dont need to worry about!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It sounds like your aluminum pot can't take the heat, (literally) of the oils, high heat and popcorn!. Seriously, I wouldn't use that pan anymore and check your coils of that burner, they might be burnt out and could cause damage in the future!. You might not see the imperfections of the coils but I wouldn't take the chance!. Please use a different pan or burner until you can get it checked out!. I do worry, please be careful!.
