Do you know a great gravy recipe?!
I need a gravy recipe and the instructions on how to cook it!. I seem to have a problem making gravy out of pan drippings, so if anyone has any pointers that would be great too! thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make a rue out of equal parts margarine and flour, cook it for a few min and make sure it is smooth, add in your fat, mix very well and let cook a little while, make sure there are no lumps and let it bubble for awhile, then add in water very slowly in small ammounts whisking very well(water left over from boiled potatoes works well, the starch will thicken your gravy more)!. Season with salt and pepper(I like a hint of onion and garlic powder in mine) And then before serving mix in a bit of milk to make it nice a creamy!. If you find the gravy isn't dark enough for your likes you can add a couple dashes of soy sauce to darken the color!.
If it isn't thick enough mix cornstarch with cold water and stir it vigorously while adding it to the gravy in small amounts and whisking!.
Once your gravy goes lumpy you can never get the lumps out by cooking or whisking, but if you put it through a strainer you can remove most of them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
