Does salt have an expiry date?!
Simple easy question =o)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
No, it doesn't!. Salt veins have been in the Earth for millenia, so a bit of time on the tabletop won't affect it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
No, not that I am aware of!. Why not check the box for the expiry date!? But anyways, if it is not stored in a dry, well sealed container and gets in contact with moisture, it will start to clump together and may even taste a little funny because it is absorbing the moisture and odour in the air!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It shouldn't do, it is pretty immune from bacteria growing on it, the whole reason for expiry dates anyway, even if it did it would be so long you would use it before it expired!. Salt is pretty safe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
No
Salt is a mineral rather than an organic substance like sugar and doesn't rot!. Even if it came in contact with moisture, the worst thing that would happen is that it would clump up or dissolve!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
