Question: Which fruit/vegetables are cheap at the moment!?
What is in season and therefore cheap at the moment!? As the credit crunch is biting hard I'm trying to cut down grocery bills!

apples and pears!. Kroger always has smaller apples 3 lb!. for $1; and I bought large apples and pears for $1/lb!.!.!.!. Cabbage is always cheap, so you can shred it and add to lettuce for salads, or make coleslaw!. Winter squash is cheap now!. If you have a Farmer's Market, the produce may be cheaper there too!. Frozen green beans and spinach are always cheap, and taste almost as good as fresh!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cabbage
Cauliflower
Broccoli
Brussels Sprouts
Kale
Carrots
Rutabagas
Turnips
Parsnips
Sweet Potatoes
White Potatoes

Pumpkins
Winter Squashes : Butternut, Spaghetti, Acorn, Hubbard, etc!.
