What is really in a hot dog ?!

Question: What is really in a hot dog !?
Answers:
Usually, there is some type of base meat product such as beef/turkey/pork/chicken!. The meat is mechanically separated from the animal, is ground into fine bits, combined and compressed with various salts, flavorings, preservatives, and food additives such as coloring and casings, and is pressurized in specific machines and formed into the food we know as "hot dogs!."

There are various things that are used in modern hot dogs, but the USDA has good information on the regulations of what can and cannot be used in hot dogs at:

A hot dog is a type of fully-cooked, cured and/or smoked moist sausage of soft, even, texture and flavor!.

Kosher hot dogs may be made from beef, chicken or turkey!. Vegetarian hot dogs and sausages, made from meat analogue, are also widely available in most areas where hot dogs are popular!. Unlike many other sausages (which may be sold cooked or uncooked), hot dogs are always cooked before being offered commercially!. Unless they have spoiled, hot dogs can usually be eaten safely without further cooking, although they are usually warmed before serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

then they grind up all the parts of the animal not used in other meats, and turn that into a hot dog!.
