Turkey - portion size is about the size of a deck of cards!. Do not eat the skin!.

Mashed potatoes - one serving size!. No gravy!. No butter!.

All the fruits and veggies you want!.

No casseroles!.

No desserts (except fruit)

No sweets!.

Basically, limit carbs, sugars & fats!.

I have found that the best way to keep the calories down and eat healthy is to cook myself!. If I'm invited to someone's home, I cook, eat first, then go to their house to socialize so that the food is not on my mind!. That way, I know what I put in my recipe and I can control the fat (to some extent with added ingredients), sodium, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fill up on a glass of water first, then a salad or veggie appetizers (spare the dip)!. No skin on the meat, stay away from desserts (try to go for fruit)!. Put several things on your plate, but use a smaller plate!. Portions should be no more than a spoonful, so that you can taste everything, but don't over do it!. Steer clear of bread!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is a book called the Clean Eating Diet!. It shows you how to make all of your favorites without added calories!.!.fat and stuff!. Its not really a "diet" but more like just simple ways to eat healthy! They have a whole section on making really good food for thanksgiving without sacrificing flavor! Look it up :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
