Apples, definitely!. The potassium in bananas are great, but they are very high sugar!. There are even some diets that do not allow bananas because of the high sugar content!. Apples have lower sugar content, higher water content, and all sort of trace minerals (if you eat the skin --- just wash the apples first)!. Applies are also lower calories than bananas!.
