How long after the best if purchased by date can you keep bread?!


Question: How long after the best if purchased by date can you keep bread!?
I have bread that is Sara Lee Soft and Smooth Bakery Bread!. It says best if purchased by Oct 30th!. so its been awhile and I haven't finished it!. I think it smells fine and there's no mold as far as I can see!. So how long after the Best if purchased date can I keep this bread!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

2-3 weeks if not properly sealed!.!.!. 4-5 weeks if properly sealed!. never months if you freeze it!. My mom always freezes bread because if one loaf is open, then she can wait until the other one is done being eatin!.

When I buy Bread I keep it in the freezer!. Each day I want it,I just take a piece and put it in the microwave for 5 seconds on both sides!. This is my way of keeping the bread as long as I want it!. As a rule, seven days after the date is how long I keep the loaf when it is not frozen!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I heard it was safe to eat as long as there wasn't any mold on it!.

Fine!. Even better if sealed!. Just all depends on your taste buds;)
