1/2-tsp cinnamon + 1/2-tsp ground cloves

Yes - 1/4 tsp!. each, freshly ground black peppercorns, cinnamon, nutmeg and ground cloves!. You don't have any ground cloves!? Ok - you can wrap a few cloves in a triple thickness of heavy duty foil, put this into a small zip-lock and hammer it into powder!. Without cloves, your recipe won't have the proper flavor!.
