Here's what I do!. This is a tip for transporting deviled eggs to another residence!. Make the egg filling as you usually do and place into a plastic container!. I usually line the containers with plastic wrap and then fold over to prevent air getting at the food contents!. Stack the halved egg whites in another container, cover with same plastic wrap and fill the egg whites when you reach the home you are taking them too!. No squashed devil led eggs, and easy to transport!.

There are special egg-transport containers out there, which might help, but you say they don't!.
What I would do is put a bed of frilly lettuce down, and nestle each egg into the lettuce leaf!. The frilliness should help keep the plastic wrap off the eggs, and the lettuce should help keep them in one place!. Then I'd cover with a large bowl, or maybe a cake-cover thingy!. Then, I'd put it in a box, wrap it up in a large piece of fabric (think Japanese furoshiki), and carefully put it in the car!. Make sure it won't shift during driving! (BTW, the furoshiki will help you put it in and out of a big cooler, if that's what you want to do!. Otherwise, you could put the plate on top of a large ice pack!.)
The most important thing is care in transport!. Otherwise, you'll have to wrap each egg individually!.
Oh, I do have one idea; put the yolk filling in a pastry bag, and the egg whites in a tupperware!. Then, just take the five minutes to fill them at your sister-in-law's house!. Perfect, without the worry!
Edit: LOL! I swear, I didn't see that first post that recommended filling them at the place! But, you've got two people who think that's a good idea! Hope you find something that works!Www@FoodAQ@Com
