A touch of salt always seems to be good for a bland soup if you already have herbs in there!. Though you might need more herbs (as the dried ones can be old and less aromatic/tasty)!. Just add them 1/2 teaspoon at a time, and taste in between additions till you get it right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use dried thyme, it pairs well with vegetables!.
If you wish (in the future) to have awesome veggie soup, you ought to roast the veggies with sea salt, olive oil, and dried thyme for about an hour at around 325!. The roasted flavor makes the soup extremely flavorful, and if you wish, you can add a little milk when you blend it to give it a creamy taste!.

also, for an exotic vegetable soup, try dried shiitake mixed in, perhaps with cream and leek flavors!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Strain the vegetables out so you don't cook them any more,
use garlic, tomato juice and cabbage if you want to keep it vegetarian add a little kosher salt if not add a little chicken base cubes to pick the flavor up, cook to reduce the liquid to where you first started and adjust the seasonings again, add your vegetables back and bring to a boil for 2 minutes and enjoy your tasty soup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add a bay leaf!.!.!. and also you can add a whole onion and remove it later, even though you are using leek!. Leave the onion skin on, for a 'browner' stock, like tea stained!.!.!.or remove the onion skin!.

Garlic would totally change the taste, so stay away from adding garlic!. also, increase the salt to bring out the other flavors!.!.!.
