What should I serve for thanksgiving dinner?!
My father is a vegetarian so meat is out!.(No turkey or ham!) <__::> so what should I compromise with!? I'm not much of a cook but I want to help do SOMETHING! Lol!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you substitute mushrooms and nuts in a dish it will help with that meat you wish you had!.!.!.!.they are earthy tasting and cannot replace the meat but with added ingredients and using colorful vegetables you can make a nice dish to serve everyone there!.
For example:
Brown rice
mushrooms a variety portobello, white button, shitake
almonds walnuts or pecans!.!.!.your choice 1
vegetable stock
carrots peeled and cut into diagonal slices
onions chopped
garlic minced
Parsley Italian has more flavor washed and chopped
Place enough olive oil in the bottom of deep pan to just cover surface then add chopped veggies dash of salt and pepper stir to coat and let them cook a few minutes on medium until onions are starting to turn golden then add rice and spices then whatever liquid you have cook as directed on the rice box!.
The spice mix you can combine your own favorite ethnic spices or buy something already prepared like one called SPIKE!.!.!.it will give the dish some pep and life to it!. When it's done place in pretty serving dish and around it place some colorful around the dish like yellow, gold or green gourds for color!. that is what people eat with first their eyes!.!.!.before even taking a bite!.!.!.
NOTE!.!.I almost forgot to mention there is this bottle of stuff I call MAGIC!.!.it's really called BRAGGS AMINOS!.!.!.you can find it at most health food stores or large grocery stores!. It looks like soy sauce but is not!. when the food does not contain a main flavor like you get with meat this gives it a real nice punch!. You can try it on other foods before Thanksgiving just a small amount will do in soups, stews, over noodle or rice dishes!.

do a lasagna only using veggies!. Go check food network and try one of Giada de Laurentis recipes!. I've seen a show that she used only vegetables to do a lasagna!. It looked good to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
