Question: How far in advance can you buy lemons and limes before they spoil!?
We are going to be using lemons and limes (cut and uncut) in our wedding display, but were wondering how far in advance can we get them before they start turning on us!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A lot depends on how long they have been on the store shelf, too!. I got some from walmart and they lasted probably three weeks!. Then another time they molded after a few days :(

Consider buying the fake lemons for SOME of the displays!? If seen from afar or on tables!? Even walmart has very nice ones!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For us they last about 2-3 weeks if we buy about a dozen at a time!. In the fridge about 2 weeks open air counter in a cool spot about 3 weeksWww@FoodAQ@Com

I have kept them at least two weeks in a fridge!. If you're buying a large amount I wouldn't trust keeping them quite that long though!. One week would be perfectly OK!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would go for about 4 days in advance!. preferably!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

3 weeks, keep in the fridge uncut until ready to use!.
Congrats and God BlessWww@FoodAQ@Com
