Are raw eggs really that bad for you?!


Question: Are raw eggs really that bad for you!?
I'm an athlete, and I have started working out pretty hard!. I heard that you can get salmonella from raw eggs, but is this really true!? Because I know raw eggs are a great source of protein!. Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you or anyone else (read other responders) don't think raw egg has salmonella try researching consumer reports for you proof!. Even if you get lucky and don't get a good dose right away, you will eventually!. And believe me you don't want it, will regret it, and will make sure it never happens again!. It's way more than just an upset stomach!. My old micro professor used to call it "the two bucket disease" for a good reason!.

My Father God rest his soul , used to crack a raw egg all the time in his glass off beer and chug it, he seemed to be allright,well he never held a steady job and died of cirossis of the liver at the tender age of 46 and left behind 6 kids for my Mother to fend for,But Im sure that he never had a Salmenolia Problem, maybe it was the alcohol that killed the Bacteria!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Bottoms Up!Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, unless they aren't fresh!.
I eat them all the time when I make cookie dough and I eat it raw, which is probably almost everyday!.
