Answers:
Toss your potatoes and carrots in some canola or vegetable oil!. Avoid extra virgin olive oil because of the heat!. You may mix regular olive oil and canola or corn oil, it's a great flavor!. You may use spray if you would like to!. Try the high heat spray, it really works!
also lower the oven temperature by 25 degrees toss your veggies periodically!.
For the fall root veggies!. Peel, cut-up in bite size pieces or quarter and roast in chicken broth or stock for 2-2 1/2 hours @ 225 degrees F!. adding celery and onions!. Par boil turnips and parsnips for 5 minutes or so!. Don't forget to toss and enjoy!!!
Instead of waxed paper which will burn, like at my grandmothers house, God Bless her!. Get a silicone sheet, like you would use for baking cookies, just use it for your roasts!.

The previous answerer is right: use parchment!. For heaven's sake, don't use waxed paper; the wax literally melts at high temperatures, and it will stick to the pan like crazy (not to mention your food)!.
Parchment is just heavy paper that's been impregnated with silicone, which is chemically inert (no flavor or odor), and extremely non-stick!. It's also heat-proof up to about 450 degrees (the paper itself won't burn), so you can safely stick it in the oven!.
However, coating your vegetables with cooking oil (olive oil, whatever), or using a non-stick spray (which is also mostly oil) is still a good idea!. An oily coating will make your vegetables brown and crisp!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need to grease the surface on which your potatoes and carrots will lie on!. So if you're putting your vegetables right on the pan, you need to light grease it with either some butter or oil!. If you are going to line your pan with aluminum foil, then you need to lightly grease the foil!. This will prevent your vegetables from sticking!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Use the spray on oil-butter flavor with flour would do best, I use it! You don't taste the flour and I know that it says only for cakes etc it works!
Or you can buy the paper like wax paper that you use on cookie sheets-lol I forgot the name!
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you preheat the pan in the oven first, then take it out and quickly put in the oil and veggies and shove it back in the oven, nothing will stick!.
I saw Tyler Florence do it that way on his show on the Food Network!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put a thin coating of olive oil (not extra virgin, that'll burn) either on the pan or on the veggies!. Waxed paper will melt and some of it will stick to the food!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Pour olive oil into the palm of your hands and give the vegies a good rub!. More importantly use 'Glad Bake' it is fantastic! I wouldnt be without it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
