When I was in highschool my health teacher told the class that the more fruits and vegetables are cut, or the smaller they are cut, the greater the depletion of vitamins and minerals from them!. She said the way to get the most nutrients out of a vegetable or fruit was to eat it while it was still in the ground or on the tree like wild animals do!.

Using that bit of information I would say that leaving them in a bunch would keep them 'fresher' for longer!. It would reduce the overall bruising of the bananas as well!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
