Carol, half of my family live in England!. If we want to send them foods or drink from the US to UK, I believe you must fill out a declaration form stating what is being sent and you will be OK!. If you are ordering from this side of the puddle for goods to come this way to Canada, the food/beverage company usually takes care of that!. If Customs can see that is a product that is factory produced and all safety seals are intact, there will be no problem!. As far as your responsibilities for taxes, I believe the VAT in England is included in the price!. Happy Holidays!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As a former chef and I live in canada we do get a lot of UK cheese, biscuits, crackers and other food product here, in fact I live in Toronto Canada, and we have loads in our grocery shops, and I go to a speciality store here that imports even more, we have cheshire, wensleydale, stilton, sage derby, cholchester, english cheddar and even irish cheeses!.

I would say there is very few things here that come from the UK that are unique to one or the other country, I was in a shop the other day, and they sell a number of UK sweets and Chocolate bars, had me a Fry Turkish delight, and also got a Bournville bar and Walnut Whip!. If you do send things make sure to wrap them tightly in newspapers to cushion them, no meat products as like the US it is banned, find thing unique to your family, try local treats or things they remember from childhood and are not here!.

If you need hints let me know, I can give you more info!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
