Am I eating a pomegranate wrong?!


Question: Am I eating a pomegranate wrong!?
i've heard how pomegranates are really good so i bought one recently!. i sliced a piece and it tasted horrible!. it tasted like a cross between glue and a banana peel!. is it a natural taste, like a grapefruit tasting bitter or is it because it's not ripe enough or i am eating the wrong part!? to eat it u cut it in half and then pick out the seeds and put it in your mouth!. bite it then the juice will come out!.!.!.spit out the seed!. it was probably not ripe
