Question: I dont meat eat as much as i eat other things!?
what vitamins could i be lacking!? and what are its effects!? i also have some difficulties getting to sleep at night, and i heard that it happens due to lack of iron!.!.!.!. is this true!?

Firstly to the other poster - 12 eggs a week is an excessive amount - although eggs are high in protein, they are also extremely high in cholesterol, and a guideline is no more than four a week!. I'm guessing you are quite young, so you might not feel the effects now, but I would seriously advise you to cut down your egg intake!.

Its not a problem if you don't eat meat as long as you replace it with something similar, such as lentils, beans and other pulses or tofu to make up for protein loss, nuts and seeds to help with vitamins and minerals!. Dark leafy vegetables like cabbage, kale and spinach contain a lot of iron which is also contained in meat!.

Supplements can be useful if you are deficient in vitamins or minerals, but a healthy balanced diet will usually provide all of the vitamins and minerals you need!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wish my iron wasn't so high i"m like on the verge of too think i'm already underweight at 5'7 i just keep shedding pounds but I still am healthy I eat alot of protein eggs mainly 12 a week 12 on a weekend the protein from an egg is so much and the yolk has iron I also eat a ounce of nuts every day and alot of kraft singles or mozzerealla string cheese but i do eat some fruit apple bananas and a potato here and there and I take a multi vitamin and I exercise but if u don't eat meat eggs are the way to go I don't eat meat my self red meat bad for u and i eat chicken salads once in a while but i do eat eggs alot for my proteinWww@FoodAQ@Com

well im kinda in the same situation i hardly eat meat but i eat too much bread and wheat and stuff like that!. Mabye if you are having trobule sleeping drink warm milk and eat a piece of bread oh and dont drink full cream milk or you will get fat!. That usually helps me or just go to sleep eairler!. i think if you dont eat much meat you could be lacking protein and iron definetely!.!.!.i think our bodies need meat!.!.fish and chicken are especially healthy for us!.!.good omega oils and protein!. you can get iron pills and eat a lot of cheese or something!.!.!.but eat more meat!.!.you need it Www@FoodAQ@Com
