Everyone here is correct to far!. The bean and the water are very important to brewing the perfect coffee, what type of coffee do you want to make though !? If your thinking of an 'espresso' coffee machine!. The pressure it can generate is also very important!. Really good ones have 15bar, cheaper ones around 3 i've seen ! also using a tamper to 'compress' the coffee will increase the essence, but too much can hinder water flow!. Expensive machines do this automatically!.
Anyway, this is for a good espresso ! Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, it depends on the roasting syle of the beans, the freshness of the grind, the size of the grind, and the freshness (and chilled) water!.
