Question: What's the difference between: "Sea salt" and 'regular salt"!?
Answers:
I am a former chef and all salt is sea salt, millions of years ago when the earth was 99% water and salty it was deposited in and on the land masses, buried hundred of feet below the ground when the continents developed, and is now mine for commercial use, most table salt is flushed from the ground with high pressure water, it is then dried with steam, minerals are added to keep it from caking and iodine silicate is added, sea salt is a natural evaporation of sea waters from around the world, recently the new "Finishing Salt" craze has come about, this is sea and other salt water deposit dried and left in there natural state, I have use the Black and Red Hawaiian salt, the Himalayan pink salts, there are several, the one the one lady was talking about is from france and is known a Sel Gris or grey salt is is a salt from southwestern France and is prized for its natural flavour and briny overtones, sea salt is much better for you as it is not as refined and has no added mineral and iodine added!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Regular salt usually comes from a mine and is washed, refined, and treated with iodine!. Sea salt comes from the sea!. they basically just make small ponds on the coast with sea water and le the sun dry up the water!. what is left is washed and sold as sea salt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy and use sea salt - an easy way to make the quality of your dishes better!. There are more minerals and it actually tastes a little saltier because of the structure!. I like sea salt from Sicily - http://www!.all-things-italian!.com/prodde!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
