What is the best way of making cheese on toast?!
Hubby and I disagree!. I say, toast both sides of the bread, add a scrape of butter, the cheese and then grill until golden and bubbly!. Hubby favours toasting only one side of the bread, and merely warming the cheese!. His way, the cheese is cold before you've eaten it (bleurgh)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm with you!. Although I cut out the butter now!. Grated is best, and a really thin layer of it too so it goes really brown and bubbly :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yours is the way I do it but I don't put margarine on!. I sprinkle some dried Chives on the toast then sprinkle grated cheese on after!. When the cheese starts to melt it gathers with the herbs and is delicious!. However, I don't do it till it's bubbly like you do, I like it the way your hubby does the cheese, just partly melted!. That way it doesn't burn and you get the full flavour of the cheese!. But there again everybody has there preferences really!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I toast one side then butter the other (making sure to butter the edges to prevent them from burning ) then put the cheese on top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It all depends on your preference I suppose!. I prefer your way though!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Your way is the same way I do it, so your hubby is wrong! I also like to add a little bit of mustard and Worcester sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
