Answers:
A hostess is the one who greets the customers who come in, usually standing at the podium, and often cashes them out when they are ready to leave!. You take care of the seating plans and bring people to their seats, and if it is busy then you tell people if they have to wait and bring them to their seats when it's ready!.

The waitress is the one who comes up with the notepad to take everyone's orders, then brings the drinks, then later brings the food, and also brings the bill at the end of the meal!. Sometimes the waitresses clear tables, occasionally the hosts might clear the table, but often they have another job, bussers, to do that!. It's up to you to ask to find out exactly what your responsibilities are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
