How can i make froyo that tastes like pinkberry?!
Answers:
Use an electric ice cream maker and the following recipe, to achieve results to rival Pinkberry's Frozen Yogurt-
3 cups (720g) strained lowfat yogurt (strain the yogurt by placing it in a coffee filter lined strainer, or a strainer lined with a few layers of cheesecloth- you may have to divide it into 3 parts, if using coffee filters)
? cup (150g) granulated sugar
2 teapoons Vanilla extract!.
Stir together all the above ingredients, until sugar is completely disolved!. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour!. Place all ingredients in your ice cream maker and follow directions for making 1 quart!.
Serve with whatever toppings you like, sprinkles, fresh fruit, syrups, etc!.
Note-- You need to start this recipe several hours ahead, since the yogurt straining process takes several hours or overnight to get all the excess liquid out of the yogurt!. also be sure the yogurt has no added stabilisers or gums such as guar gum!. Yoplait and Dannon are the most widely available brands!.
If you can afford the calories, you can also use whole milk yogurt!.!.!. The results with whole milk yogurt is a very luscious, creamy texture!.
You can eat it "scooped" (it does get a bit firm and ice creamy when stored in the freezer!.) but for that yogurt shop texture!.!.!. Pack it all in a pastry bag and pipe it out into bowls as soon as it's made!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
