Saffon is the most expensive spice on the planet!. It has a unique floral aroma and taste since it is a product of the stems of an orchid plant!. I'm sorry, but nothing can substitute that flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends!. In a spicier dish, turmeric will do just fine, but in milder foods you might be better using yellow food colouring, as turmeric has a slightly acrid taste (which is why it is so well suited to Indian cuisine)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

nothing really tastes like saffron but saffron!. tumric really doesnt taste like much but does have a strong yellow color!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

use tumeric in place of saffron!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
