Answers:
Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store!. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster!. also if you do not keep them close to your other fruit they will not ripen as fast!.

You can put them in the refrigerator but they will turn black!. They do not ruin but I do not like to do this because they do not look very good that way!.

Separate them and leave them in the fresh air, don't cover them, give them as much space as possible!. I'd say lay them individually (separated) on a paper towel!.

The reason is that the bananas release a chemical that ripens other bananas!. This is to keep a bunch of bananas ripening at the same time so you don't have a bunch with 1 green banana, one rotten banana!.!.!. the more ripe the banana gets, the more of the stuff it releases!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

buy them green and leave them out in a bowl and let sit there try not to put in a bag or near fruit thats riping and maybe that will keep them longer they do turn fastWww@FoodAQ@Com
