LOL, that's funny cause my basement wash tub water is so delicious LOL LOL, I mean it's cold and taste so clean!. The sink water in the kitchen with all the gadgets lol, taste like crap, even the fridge dispenser water tastes like crap!. Why I have no idea, but I'm thinking it may have to do with pvc hoses that connect to the fridge and under the sink and my wash tub is regular green tainted copper tubing!. Go figure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Dunno you would think the flucet closest to the water source would be colder but thats not always the case!. Our tap water always tastes nasty but we live in the City suburbs!. Now with our softener and filter its perfect, no bitterness, funky flavors at all!.

At my parents place they have well water and down stairs tap water is always crisp, ice cold, slightly sweet as theres a huge batch of wild strawberries and wintergreen plants around it constantly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In an older house the taps in the kitchen or a downstairs bathroom are directly cold filled from the mains water whereas the water drawn from the taps in the upper floors is taken through the water tanks in your house!. I would actually disagree with you and say that here in Surrey the water straight from the mains is much nicer than that stored in the tanks for any length of time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wonder that too! In my old condo that was the case, and in my apartment (all on one level), this is the case too with the bathroom water!. Weird!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
