Does yogurt spoil? How would you tell if it did?!

Question: Does yogurt spoil!? How would you tell if it did!?
It's already got cultured bacteria, so - does that crowd out other kinds!? Is it like cheese and lasts for a really long time!? Or more like a robust version of milk!? If it did spoil, would you be able to tell!?

thanks

Oh yes all cultured dairy still spoils!. Heres how to tell if its gone bad wether its yogurt or sour cream

Sour cream has gone bad if you start to see pink or green stuff growing in it!. That is unless you dipped something with a red residu on it in the cream!.

Yogurt has gone bad if it has pink or green stuff growing in it or is is gives off a different smell!. Since yogurt is such a rich culture medium, Heaven only knows what will grow in it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, yogurt is somewhat similar to milk in the fact that it does spoil!. You can always tell by checking the expiration date, smelling it before you eat to make sure it doesn't give off a sour aroma ( indication of mild to extreme spoiling)!. Or if you accidentally leave it open and come back after a few days and it has mold growing on it!.

I hope this helps,

Yes, it's a dairy product and has a date stamped someplace on it to use by!. I would not go past that expiration date or it'll taste nasty and may even make you sick if you ate enough of it then!. ANY refrigerated item can and does spoil at some point, even peanut butter!. You could tell on yogurt if it's like cottage cheese in the texture, you left it in the fridge too long!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes it spoil when u taste it n it don't taste good then it notWww@FoodAQ@Com
