Which is worse, sugar or corn syrup as an ingredient with milk.?!

Question: Which is worse, sugar or corn syrup as an ingredient with milk!.!?
My daughter told me some kid in her class wasn't allowed to drink Intense Chocolate Milke (per the teacher - not the child or parent) because the second ingredient was sugar!. (At least the kid is drinking milk instead of Energy Drinks! Geez!)!. I had a jug of Intense Chocolate Milk and regular 2% chocolate milk in the fridge!. The Intense had sugar as the second ingredient, the regular had corn syrup!. Is one worse or better than the other!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Both are similar in the way your body will break them down and store them as fat!. It would depend on the content of each, as it can be confusing to compare sugar content in grams, to corn syrup in volume!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cane sugar is a simple sugar so it will metabolize more easily by the body!. Corn syrup is a complex sugar, so it takes more energy for the body to convert it!. So corn syrup is better as the second ingredient since your body will use up calories to store it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd say sugar!. Because I have Asthma and Corn Syrup seems to clog me up after I've drank something with it as an ingredient!. It doesn't seem to do that when I eat something with the ingredient though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Corn syrup is sugar, basically the same structure!. Both are fine in moderation,Www@FoodAQ@Com
