Pickle in sausage rolls?!
I'm making some mini sausage rolls with puff pastry!. Do you think it would work and taste nice if I added a layer of pickle over the top of the sausage meat!? You know, like they do to pork pies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think the pickle would get too hot in the oven and melt out of the sausage rolls, leaving you with a sticky mess!. I may be wrong, try it and see!
I think it works in pork pies because they are completely enclosed!.

try english mustard or dijon or a little sage /onion/apple/stuffing with the sausage meat!.

It is so good, but if u are not a big fan of pickles u might not like it!.It depends on the person!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
