Are goldfish (the crackers) considered junk food?!


Question: Are goldfish (the crackers) considered junk food!?
i was just wondering if goldfish, just the regular cheddar kind can be considered junk food!. if they still are, arent they at least better than potato chips and cheesits!?

also, are pretzels junk food!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Basically, anything which contains very few nutrients when compared to overall caloric intake is junk food!.

Yes, they are better than chips and Cheez-Its which are both much higher in fat!. Pretzels are also junk food, but again, they are better than the chips and Cheez-Its!.

However, they are all still junk food and should be eaten sparingly!.

I guess that would depend on what you classify as junk food!. Goldfish aren't really very high in important nutrients and stuff, but compared to other snack foods they are healthier!.
Pretzels are high in sodium but usually are relatively low in fat and sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no not at all, they make whole grain gold fish now too, which are pretty good and good for you!.

gold fish are baked, potato chips are fried!.!. do the math!.
