Are rice krispies treats healthy?!

Question: Are rice krispies treats healthy!?
I know it's a bunch of white rice and sugar, but I mean relatively in comparison to the other sweets at bakeries!. I LOVE these things, and typically order them when I'm really craving something sweet with my coffee!. They have to be lower-fat, and way lighter than a muffin or brownie! right!? I typically eat healthy but do get my treats in every now and then, just want to make sure I'm not underestimating rice krispies calorie content!.

Thank ya!Www@FoodAQ@Com

As one who grew up making them, I can safely say that they ARE lower in fat than other foods you could have!. However, unless you know who's making them, or you make them yourself, I'd be careful!. No offense to the Kellogg's folks, I've had the packaged ones and they have a chemical taste that is kind of suspect!. If you aren't going to a coffee shop that they make them in the kitchen from Rice Crispies, melted butter and marshmallows (or marshmallow creme), then make your own, wrap them up and carry them with you!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Let's see !.!.!. rice krispies aren't SO bad !.!.!. but you have to remember everything else that goes into them !.!.!. the marshmallows (every large marshmallow had 1/2 a cup of sugar in it) and all the margarine/butter/oil etc!. They're not that healthy!. There are a lot of granola bars and other things that you could eat and get more nutritional value from!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not that healthy, but you are right about rice krispies healthier than other sweets @ bakeries!. I would rather have 2 rice krispie treats than a slice of strawberry cheesecake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Haha I just had about 5 home-made rice krispies today! I looove them too!.

(sorry I didn't really answer your question!.!.!.the word rice krispies grabbed me!)Www@FoodAQ@Com
