I would smell it first, and second, lunch meats usually don't go past 4 days of buying them, 5 at the most!. If it's been more than that, I wouldn't use it!. I know what the package says, but I would smell it, also, is is slimy!? Usually slimy is no good, I don't mean wet, but slimy, that's a sign that it's past it's prime too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it will smell really bad, and it may get a little mold on it!. It may also get really slimey!. I advise you not to eat it!. The "best is used by" date is only in effect of how long the food will last before you open it!.
This changes though if you've already opened the package!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It will get a bad smell to it!. It will also look slimy and may even have a gray color to it!. I would not eat it unless it was sealed and not open even if it didn't have a spoiled smell to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i would smell it first!.!.!.
that only means if it hasn't ever been opened!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
